Marthe Donas - Tête cubiste (1917)
There’s criminally little available on Donas that doesn’t merely relate who she knew (Picasso, De Stijl, Section D’Or) or present the vaguest of outlines of her life. The best summary available is little more than a single sentence: ‘The Belgian painter Marthe Donas brought undulating, organic rhythm to the more crystalline conventions of Cubist still-life.’
